Resident Transportation Driver Eastgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center East Providence, RI

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate
Resident Transport Driver to assist with transporting residents to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations.

• Safely transport residents to scheduled medical appointments and other approved destinations.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
• Safely accommodate residents using wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices.
• Ensure residents arrive at appointments on time and are returned to the facility promptly.
• Maintain communication with nursing staff regarding departures, appointments, delays, and resident returns.
• Follow all facility transportation, safety, infection-control, and resident-rights procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the facility vehicle.
• Complete required transportation logs and documentation.
• Provide residents with courteous, respectful, and professional assistance throughout transportation.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
• Valid Rhode Island CNA license is recommended.
• Dependable, punctual, able to manage an appointment-based schedule, and on call
• Comfortable working with elderly and rehabilitation residents, including individuals with mobility limitations.
• Ability to safely assist residents with wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Must meet all applicable facility employment and transportation requirements.
• Previous experience in healthcare, senior care, medical transportation, or a similar setting is preferred but not required.
