Senior Finance Executive

About the role

The National Forwarder is looking for an experienced and dependable Senior Accounts Executive to handle a full set of accounts and support the financial operations of our freight forwarding and warehousing business.

• Handle a full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting schedules
• Manage customer invoicing, supplier payments, collections and credit control
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments
• Perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records of freight, transport, warehouse and vendor costs
• Review supplier invoices and supporting documents before processing payment
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow planning and financial forecasting
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks and relevant government authorities

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience, handling a full set of accounts is a must
• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transport or warehousing will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of Singapore accounting practices, GST requirements and financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Careful, organised and able to meet reporting deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, suppliers and external service providers
• Trustworthy and capable of handling confidential financial information
• Able to work independently while contributing as part of a team
