Key Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

* Lead and motivate a multi-skilled engineering team to deliver site KPIs

* Spend 60–70% of time hands-on on the factory floor

* Own site engineering performance, uptime, and reliability

* Plan, prioritise, and delegate all maintenance activities

* Develop and manage PPM schedules and engineering inspections

* Ensure machinery operates at optimum efficiency with minimal downtime

* Full responsibility for engineering health & safety compliance

* Champion continuous improvement, waste reduction, and best practice

* Manage engineering stores and cost control

* Support recruitment, development, and retention of engineers

* Actively contribute to Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP & VACCP

* Flexible to support out-of-hours issues and on-call requirements

Key Engineering Manager Requirements:

* Proven Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Lead experience

* Background in FMCG or food manufacturing environments

* Strong mechanical & electrical engineering knowledge

* Relevant Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical)

* 16th / 17th Edition certified

* Strong people leadership and communication skills

* Hands-on, proactive, and delivery-focused mindset

* Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving ability

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment

* NEBOSH / IOSH and Food Hygiene qualifications advantageous
