- Proven at least 1+ years’ experience as a Line Cook in a reputable, high-volume full-service or casual kitchen food production preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand/walk frequently.
- Serv Safe Certification, Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM), or Accredited Food Handler Certificate required within 90 days of hire.
- High standards of cleanliness.
Job Description:
Our culinary team members are tasked with preparing and cooking our menu with the same standard of excellence you would apply if cooking for your own family. You'll be responsible for following our recipes, portion control guidelines, and quality standards without flaws, all while championing food safety and creating visually appealing plates.
What makes a great Culinary?
- Speak clearly and present information orally.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
- Execute same-ticket order coordination to ensure items finish at the same time.
- Follow standard recipes, production sheets, and line checks.
- Evaluate food preparation and recommend improvements to operations.
- Practice proper labeling, dating, initialing, and rotating procedures.
- Stock stations before and after each shift.
- Perform opening, closing, and side duties as required.
- Maintain clean equipment and cooking areas.
- Handle food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices.
- Meet or exceed time standards for order completion.
- Use progressive cooking procedures to ensure high-quality products.
- Follow safe sanitary food handling practices, keeping hot food hot and cold food cold.
- Follow cleaning procedures for all cooking equipment and proper food storage practices—cover, label, and date.
- Properly stack and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and food storage containers.
- Keep floors clean and dry throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory maintenance as needed.
- Remove garbage and maintain cleanliness of kitchen machinery.
