Overview of the Position The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois is seeking a full-time term judicial law clerk to U.S. District Judge Stephen P. McGlynn. This term judicial law clerk position is for one year and may be extended upon mutual consent, but will not exceed four years as a term position. There is a possibility of conversion to a career position.

The term law clerk provides critical support to Judge McGlynn by conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda, orders, and draft opinions on both civil and criminal cases. The successful candidate for this position will report to the East St. Louis courthouse.
