Job DescriptionPosition
Purpose:
Supervise and schedule day‑to‑day operational activities, troubleshoot health, safety, and environmental compliance issues, ensure quality assurance/control, determine cost of supplies versus labor, provide technical expertise on operational modifications, and lead hiring and training of subordinates.
- Enforce all compliance, health, and safety policies and procedures in accordance with departmental and regional requirements.
- Oversee compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all other governmental regulations.
- Attend and arrange required training courses.
- Oversee operation of all equipment, including maintenance to ensure optimum utilization.
- Assist in training team members to meet performance standards across all functional areas of the site.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Degree in chemistry or chemical engineering (preferred).
- 2–3 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
- 4–6 years of hazardous waste experience (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of DOT, EPA, TSCA, and OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of site capabilities and limitations for handling hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
- Computer proficiency.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective time‑management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and supervisory leadership skills.
- Ability to create and prepare reports as necessary.
- Strong safety culture.
- HAZWOPER Certification.
Minimum of $85,000 to a maximum of $110,000.
