Graduate Political Science Research & Tutoring Assistant

Type of Position:

Graduate Assistant with the Political Science/MA Program working 10 hours per week/150 hours per semester.

Pay Rate:

$8.34 per hour

Job Summary:

Collaborate and assist the Political Science/MA Program department.

Responsibilities:

• Tutor undergraduate students taking political science general education courses.
• Tutor students using computerized data and statistical analysis.
• Assist with constructing, conducting, and analyzing surveys.
• Assist with library search.
• Assist with set-up and conduct of special forums.
• Assist with Eurosim preparation.
• Assist with study-aboard programs.
• Assist with the development, administration, and evaluation of course materials.
• Show videos and operate audio-visual equipment.
• Provide occasional presentations in courses under the supervision of faculty.

Required Qualifications:

• Acceptance to M.A. in Political Science program or M.S. in Management and Leadership program (Public Administration and Policy concentration).
• Attention to details.
• Excellent work ethic.
