Position Overview

For nearly 100 years, LVHN has operated independent residency programs in the Lehigh Valley area with the goal of providing the next generation with skills to be leaders, clinicians, and academicians. We offer an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program and recently established a new Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship. Responsibilities include:

• Providing full scope of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings in collaboration with a team of providers, including 4 other certified nurse midwives.
• Participating in scheduled 24-hour shifts and 2 office days per week.
• Delivering outpatient OB and uncomplicated GYN care, including well-woman exams, STI screening and treatment, contraception (Nexplanon, IUDs).
• Engaging in in-house call components.

Additional highlights:

• Contributing to over 30 service sites across 11 counties, serving women's preventive, gynecologic, and obstetric needs.
• Providing care at five Family Birth and Newborn Centers throughout the region.
• Performing gynecologic surgical care using traditional and minimally invasive techniques at multiple locations.
• Choosing practice settings ranging from intimate patient environments to busy practices, community-based programs, or academic hospitals.

Qualifications:

• Current license to practice in Pennsylvania
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Midwifery program
• CNM experience of 2 years preferred
• L&D nursing experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive, caring, and professional demeanor
