Responsibilities- Leading the commercial management of major infrastructure projects from design through to final handover.
- Managing NEC contracts, compensation events, variations and contractual compliance.
- Developing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts and cost plans.
- Monitoring commercial performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Managing subcontractor and supplier relationships, including procurement and tender evaluations.
- Leading commercial risk and opportunity management activities.
- Supporting claims avoidance, dispute resolution and commercial governance.
- Producing commercial reports, cashflow forecasts and performance metrics for senior stakeholders.
- Experience:
Minimum 10 years' commercial management experience within major infrastructure, utilities, industrial, energy or construction projects. - Commercial Expertise:
Significant NEC contract management experience with strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting and change management. - Qualifications:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Law, Engineering or a related discipline. - Professional Membership: MRICS, MCICES, MCIOB or equivalent professional membership, or working towards.
- Leadership:
Proven ability to manage commercial teams, suppliers and key stakeholders. - Analytical
Skills:
Strong financial reporting, forecasting and risk management capability. - Project
Experience:
Demonstrable experience managing projects valued at £20m+. - Desirable:
Experience with in nuclear, water treatment, wastewater treatment or major UK infrastructure programmes.
