Job Title Management Accountant, Interim Location Leiston, Suffolk, hybrid (onsite 3 days per week) Day Rate £425 per day inside IR35 Security Clearance BPSS and CTC required or eligible

The Role You will join the Finance function, but sit within the Investments team and deliver accurate, timely financial information. This is a role with clear training focus. You will strengthen capability within the team, guide best practice, and improve process and financial control. You will support month end, budgeting, forecasting, and provide clear insight to operational leaders within a strict regulatory environment and a complex cost base of up to £1bn.

Key Responsibilities Support monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and clear commentary Support and oversee month end close, including accruals, journals, and query resolution Support the annual budget and monthly forecast cycle with strong audit trail Guide the weekly and monthly reporting pack submissions for budget holders and station leadership Provide ad hoc financial analysis and value for money reviews Drive strong process discipline and financial controls across the Investments team Support audit, compliance, and six monthly control reviews Use SAP to interrogate data, improve reporting, and demonstrate best practice Coach and guide team members, building capability and consistency Build strong relationships with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Corporate Finance Escalate risks and adverse trends with clear mitigating actions Candidate Profile Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Strong management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting experience Proven experience in, utilities, engineering, or other highly regulated environment Advanced SAP knowledge, able to interrogate data and improve team capability Strong process and financial control mindset Confident communicator, able to guide, train, and influence others Resilient, organised, and able to manage tight deadlines Strong Excel and analytical skills Eligible for BPSS and CTC clearance To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must APPLY NOW, making sure to attach your up-to-date CV.
