As a Commercial Field Service Technician you will work across the entire Tesla organization to problem‑solve and ensure the success of our Commercial Energy field service execution. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance services to Tesla’s commercial products such as solar PV systems, energy storage, and electric vehicle charging stations. The focus of this role will primarily be solar PV systems.

This position will require 100% travel and the candidate should reside in contiguous United States (lower 48 states).

• Layout and assist in the assembly of solar modules/array, mounting hardware, and electrical equipment.
• Organize trucks for installs/removals for the upcoming day, keeping everything neat and organized.
• Perform required preventive maintenance activities on Commercial PV systems and train or mentor others on the team as needed.
• Respond to corrective maintenance cases on all commercial energy products and update online case logs accurately.
• Respond to customers’ concerns about system performance or functionality.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with PV equipment and installation, preferably commercial or utility scale, with extensive knowledge of electrical wiring, equipment, and the ability to plan sets and equipment manuals.
• Previous experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, and the ability to navigate numerous computer applications and technology independently.
• Ability to work at great heights, extreme environments, repeated duties, lift at least 50 lbs. frequently, and perform prolonged periods of repetitive duties for up to 12 hours a day.
• Capability to climb and utilize equipment on site, including ladders rated for 300 lbs., and meet OSHA fall protection standards for at‑height work.
• Valid driver’s license.
