Accounts Semi-Senior

Reed are supporting a small but growing practice near Alton to recruit and accounts semi/Bookkeeper to join their firm. In this friendly team you will be supporting the team manager and partner in managing their diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Preparation Draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Assist with management accounts and bookkeeping. Complete VAT returns and reconciliations. Tax Work Prepare corporation tax computations and returns. Assist with personal tax returns for directors and individuals. Support senior staff with tax planning and advisory projects. Audit Assignments Participate in statutory audits for small and medium-sized businesses.

Test controls, verify balances, and prepare audit working papers. Work under supervision of senior auditors, ensuring compliance with audit standards. Client Interaction Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries. Build strong relationships with a varied client base across industries. Represent the practice professionally in meetings and communications. Skills & Attributes Studying towards ACA/ACCA/AAT (part-qualified or finalist). Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
