Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview
We are looking for a driven Assistant or Junior Quantity Surveyor to support commercial operations on a retail project for TK Maxx. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their QS career who is looking for hands-on development, mentorship, and exposure to live project environments.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Assist with preparing budgets, cost plans, and valuations
 
* Support the procurement of subcontractors and materials
 
* Help maintain project cost records and financial reports
 
* Attend site meetings and support contract administration tasks
 
* Assist in measuring works, processing variations, and updating forecasts
 
* Work closely with the Senior QS to learn best practices and develop commercial skills
 
* Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with project procedures
Skills & Experience
 
* 0–3 years experience in a QS role (placement year experience also welcomed)
 
* Good numerical and analytical skills
 
* Confident with Excel and standard QS software
 
* Strong willingness to learn with a proactive mindset
 
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
 
* Degree or ongoing studies in Quantity Surveying (or similar) preferred
