EDUCATION WELFARE OFFICER

Hours of work: 37 hours per week. Working pattern: full-time, term‑time only (salary pro‑rata).

We are looking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer in our all-through school. You will be working alongside senior staff in the school to promote positive attitudes towards school attendance of pupils and their parents/carers and to ensure that pupils are present at school so as to derive maximum benefit from their education.

• Are you committed to working with young people?
• Do you have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to students?
• You will need to work flexibly within a team
• Do you have good literacy and numeracy skills?
• Good interpersonal skills are essential.

• The post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. Applicants must complete a self‑declaration form showing they have not been disqualified under these regulations.
• Applicants must pass an Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure & Barring Services).
