- Hours of work: 32.5 hours (full‑time).
- Fixed term: up to one year; covering maternity leave from September 2026.
- May be required to work at any of the Trust’s sites.
- Location:
Hazel Court Secondary School, Eastbourne, East Sussex.
Salary range is £32,916 to £45,352 (Main Pay Scale) plus an SEN Allowance of £2,787 per annum.
Role OverviewThe Trust is looking to appoint a fixed‑term class teacher to cover maternity leave from September 2026, based at Hazel Court Secondary School.
Responsibilities- Provide a pupil‑centred approach to learning and create exciting, purposeful and challenging learning opportunities.
- Support pupils with special educational needs, contributing towards their independence, communication and self‑regulation.
- Collaborate with parents/carers and other professionals to achieve the best possible life outcomes and future opportunities for learners.
- Support the wider work of the school and Trust.
- Qualified teacher with QTS or QTLS status.
- Experience or willingness to support pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Self‑motivated, inspirational and passionate about teaching.
- Innovative, creative and committed to a pupil‑centred approach.
- Collaborative and able to work closely with parents/carers and other professionals.
- Early career teachers (ECTs) are welcomed to apply.
