About the role & school
Vision for Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist school that supports secondary aged children with a range of additional needs. The supports students with a range of special needs including, Speech and Language, Autism and Learning Difficulties. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential through personalised support and engaging learning experiences.
They are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to deliver creative and differentiated lessons that inspire confidence and progress. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact, helping young people develop both their mathematical understanding and the life skills needed for future success.
This role would suit a compassionate and adaptable Maths Teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping students with additional needs build confidence, achieve their potential, and develop skills for life.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs.
Create a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment.
Use positive reinforcement strategies to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their emotional and academic development.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and the wider support team.
Monitor student progress and contribute to individual learning or support plans.
Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and social skills.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teacher you will:
QTS/QTLS
Experience of working with Secondary aged children.
Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
Experience working with children with SEMH needs.
An ability to work as part of a team.
Strong behaviour management and relationship building skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
