Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional, School Counseling & Student Support
Oakwood Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised Admissions and Attendance Officer to join our friendly and dedicated team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our pupils and families, helping to ensure every child has the best possible start to their educational journey.
The role is 8.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday, 40 weeks per year (term-time only, including INSET days, plus one week)

QualificationsGCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalent essential
Current first aid qualification (or willing to work towards) essential
Skills Abilities, Skills and KnowledgeAbility to use language and other communication skills that pupils can understand and relate to essential
Ability to demonstrate active listening skills essential
Ability to communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals, both verbally, and in writing essential
Ability to create and maintain high-quality and accurate records essential
Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure, whilst working to deadlines essential
Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team essential
Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner essential
Ability to utilise ICT effectively and efficiently in your work essential
Working knowledge of attendance procedures in schools essential
Working knowledge of admissions procedures in schools essential
ExperienceExperience of accurately and effectively analysing data
Previous experience of managing attendance in schools
Previous experience of managing admissions in schools
Experience of establishing positive relationships with young people and families in diverse communities
Experience of working in a teamExperience of working successfully as part of a team essential
