SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEMH Support

Academics Agency are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs within a welcoming primary school in Eastbourne.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour and engagement in learning.

The Role:

1:1 support for a pupil with SEMH needs
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Building a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil
Encouraging engagement with learning
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Providing a calm, patient and nurturing approach

The Ideal Candidate :

Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or challenging behaviour
Patient, resilient and confident
Able to build strong relationships with children
Consistent and calm when managing difficult situations
Previous school, SEN, youth work or support work experience is desirable
