Senior Quantity Surveyor Job - Permanent - To start ASAP - Hybrid working - Paying circa £73K + package

Your new role

Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for projects.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Prepare and negotiate variations to the main contract.

Drive profitability across all contracts through effective cost management.

Ensure all activities comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards, as well as company procedures.

Assess and certify interim and final payments for subcontractors.

Monitor and control contract costs against approved budgets.

Identify potential risks and implement strategies for mitigation.

Manage procurement of subcontractors, including drafting and issuing subcontract agreements.

Assist in compiling documentation for dispute resolution processes (e.g., adjudication, arbitration).

What you'll need to succeed

Extensive background as a Quantity Surveyor, with expertise in managing projects under the NEC form of contract.

Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects for a main contractor.

Skilled in applying innovative solutions to complex problems and adept at negotiating across all levels within the construction environment.

Highly ambitious professional with strong communication skills, confidence, and a flexible approach to challenges.

Possesses exceptional numeracy and IT proficiency to meet the financial and analytical demands of the role.
