£33,000 – £35,000 per annum + Overtime

Urgent requirement for experienced Switchgear Technician to work on site installing, repairing and maintaining electrical Switchgear for our customers. You will join an existing electrical engineering team and be required to be out on site but also support in the workshop as and when required. This hands‑on role involves performing switch gear maintenance and, when required, assisting with switch gear assembly either in the factory or on‑site alongside AC switch gear technicians.

• Perform on‑site servicing, preventative maintenance, repairs and testing of DC and AC switch gear.
• Identify and help resolve potential risks associated with site work projects.
• Prepare detailed written service reports and technical recommendations.

• Interpret wiring schematics and general arrangement drawings.
• Lay out, assemble and wire electrical panels.
• Conduct preparation of metalwork, cabling, control wiring and copper busbar work.

• Proven experience in switch gear or electrical assembly.
• Previous experience in a similar electrical or engineering role.
• Strong ability to interpret wiring schematics and engineering drawings.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

• Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
