This Private Client Tax Manager role has been created as part of continued growth within the tax team. You will work directly with a senior tax specialist, supporting advisory work and complex compliance across a diverse private client portfolio. The position offers clear progression, exposure to planning work and the chance to develop into a senior technical voice within the firm.
The role is full-time and office-based in Eastbourne
, offering close collaboration with partners and wider teams.
- Supporting senior tax leadership with technical research and written advice for private clients
- Advising on a broad range of UK private client tax matters, including planning opportunities
- Acting as a technical point of reference for partners and managers on private client tax queries
- Managing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns for a varied client portfolio
- Contributing to proactive advisory projects and technical updates for colleagues and clients
- Supporting specialist work, including exposure to US personal tax, with training provided
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes and sharing knowledge across the team
- Strong experience in private client tax within practice
- ATT and/or CTA qualification preferred, though qualified by experience candidates will be considered
- Interest in advisory work alongside high-quality compliance
- Comfortable undertaking detailed technical research and handling complex issues
- Experience with in accountancy practice and a collaborative, team-focused approach
- Indicative salary range of £55,000 to £60,000 depending on experience and qualification
