Eastbourne. 20 hours per week over 5 days. Monday to Friday. 6‑month fixed‑term contract. Salary £14,068 per annum plus pension and company benefits.
Job OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our busy Brewers Decorator Centre in Eastbourne. You will provide exceptional service to customers in the branch, and play a vital part in keeping the branch and its delivery service running smoothly.
Responsibilities- Store goods received promptly, systematically and safely.
- Assist delivery drivers with loading of goods and ensure goods are available for collection.
- Keep accurate records of goods in and out, providing up‑to‑date information to relevant functions.
- Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the branch network.
- Maintain the warehouse to agreed standards, ensuring minimal risk of injury, accident or damage.
- Provide exceptional service to customers in branch.
- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to use own initiative and work well within a team.
- Work quickly and accurately, with good attention to detail and excellent time‑management skills.
- Demonstrate multitasking ability.
- Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality.
- Confident with the use of computers and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within the industry.
