Your role
An exciting oppportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Edwards team based at Product Company Eastbourne.

Y ou will report directly to the NPI Manager and help drive successful project outcomes from concept through to release.
- Monitor project progress and KPIs. Report on KPIs, project highlights, risks and issues as well as project changes to the site/Divisional Management Committee.
Ensure risks are managed appropriately by time-bound mitigation plans and documented rationale where calculated risks are taken - Work with divisional stakeholders and the NPI manager to develop business cases at the feasibility stage, agreeing initial specifications with marketing and technical teams and working with the NPI Manager to produce preliminary project, resource, and cost plans to present proposals for approval at site/Division PCM Committee
- Foster good communication and collaboration between engineering and operations teams at Eastbourne PC as well as between teams at remote PC sites and other divisional departments. Establish project steering boards and ensure smooth handovers to production, anticipating any challenges when the product reaches volume production
- Identify and address gaps in expectations between the project team and stakeholders. Manage change effectively, ensuring clear documentation to support later audits. Adopt a mindset of continuous reflection when projects do not necessarily go to plan and put in place strategies to avoid repeats where there have been negative consequences.
- Ensure quality and reliability analyses—including DFMEA and PFMEA where relevant—are completed. Work with quality and reliability stakeholders to ensure projects align with established processes and long‑term targets defined in the annual OGSM.
- Establish a clear test strategy early in the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between the NPI team and Operations. Communicate test expectations and define the level of testing required before advancing through gate milestones
- Lead the project lifecycle up to Gate 6 in the PCP process, after which ownership transitions to the Eastbourne PC Technical Support Team once acceptable FTTFR performance has been achieved and sufficient training has been provided for the Technical Support Team to support the product independently.
