About the Role

The role requires significant experience in facilities management. Candidates must possess extensive knowledge of soft services operations, including cleaning, waste management, security and associated support services within a multi-site operational environment.

A strong understanding of health and safety legislation, service quality standards, and industry best practices is essential.

Proven expertise in contract management is required, including procurement, tendering, mobilisation, performance monitoring, supplier relationship management, and contract compliance. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to soft services delivery, including health and safety compliance, risk assessment processes, and contractor control procedures.

Significant experience managing outsourced service contracts across large and complex property portfolios is essential, ideally within a public sector or customer-focused environment. The role demands the ability to drive service excellence through effective KPI and SLA management, continuous improvement initiatives, budget control, and performance management of suppliers and contractors.

Strong organisational, communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are critical, alongside the ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands, and deliver high-quality services under pressure.

Candidates must demonstrate experience in managing contracts, supervising service providers, and service improvement programmes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, some knowledge of CAFM systems, and performance reporting tools is required. A commitment to health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion, customer service excellence, and the flexibility to work across multiple sites are essential for success in the role.
