We’re looking for a dedicated and ambitious Registered Manager to join our growing team at Bluebird Care Eastbourne
, based in our Eastbourne office.
As an established home care provider with a strong commitment to quality care and supporting people to live independently in their own homes, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to take ownership of a service, lead a dedicated team, and make a real difference to customers and their families within the local community.
What You’ll Need- Proven management experience within the home care or wider adult social care sector
- Previous experience in a senior leadership or Registered Manager position
- A strong understanding of CQC regulations, legislation, safeguarding and care standards
- Experience managing, supporting and developing a care team
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- The ability to manage operational performance while maintaining a strong focus on quality and compliance
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Level 5 Health & Social Care
- Competitive salary of £45 - £50,000 per year, depending on experience
- Additional pay for on-call responsibilities where applicable

- Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm plus on call duties
As Registered Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility for the effective management and delivery of the service, ensuring we consistently provide safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the home care service
- Ensuring the service operates in accordance with CQC regulations, relevant legislation, company policies and best practice
- Providing strong leadership, guidance and support to the care and office teams
- Leading the recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and ongoing development of employees
- Maintaining high standards of care delivery and ensuring customers receive personalised, safe and responsive support
- Overseeing assessments, care plans, reviews and risk assessments to ensure they accurately reflect customers' needs and preferences
- Monitoring care quality through regular audits, field observations, supervisions and customer feedback
- Ensuring safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and accidents are appropriately investigated, recorded and acted upon
- Working proactively to identify areas for improvement and implementing effective action plans
- Maintaining accurate and compliant records and ensuring the service is prepared for CQC inspections
- Developing positive relationships with customers, their families, care professionals and external stakeholders
- Monitoring staffing levels, rotas and operational requirements to ensure safe and effective service delivery
- Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth and success of the service
- Working closely with the senior management team to achieve operational, quality and financial objectives
- Participating in the emergency on-call rota as required
