Job Title: Industrial Sewing Machinist

Location: Eastbourne

Pay Rate: £12.71 – £14.50 per hour

Job Type: Temporary with an opportunity to go permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

First Recruitment are seeking a skilled Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our client’s leading bespoke textile manufacturing company.

We are looking for experienced Industrial Sewing Machinists
, and candidates must have proven industrial sewing experience
, as the role involves working with a range of industrial sewing machines and different fabrics in a manufacturing environment.

• Producing a variety of fabric products from samples or technical drawings
• Working independently or as part of a team, depending on the size and complexity of orders
• Producing consistently high-quality, accurate work
• Supporting the Design and Sales teams with technical input regarding design feasibility and production timescales
• Proactively identifying and suggesting potential improvements within the business

• Essential: Proven experience using industrial sewing machines within a factory or manufacturing setting
• Previous experience in an industrial sewing, machinist, or similar textile manufacturing role
• Ability to work confidently with different materials and fabrics
  
  Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret technical drawings
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands
