Volunteers needed at our New Charity Shop in Langney Road, Eastbourne.
Our shops are the heart of the local community, raising funds to support our vital work. Volunteers help maximize income from donated items.
Responsibilities- Process, prepare, and price donated items from the cleaning and sorting area.
- Identify items for sale and prepare them for merchandising.
- Ensure Gift Aid labels are attached to applicable items.
- Clean and steam clothes (if applicable) and make all items presentable.
- Thank donors and participate in mandatory retail procedures.
Special knowledge of clothing, books, or antiques is a plus and can lead to coordinating a section.
Availability- Mon 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.
- Tue 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.
- Wed 9:30 – 1:00 p.m.
Shift length is ~3 hours; flexible times welcome. No special skills required; all training is provided.
