Do you want to be part of our new Family help initiative that is already showing it’s worth? Then we have a Social Worker vacancy in Eastbourne to join our Family Help team. You will be working as part of the Family Help team carrying out a range of Social Work tasks that will include assessments of need, multi agency working and building networks around the child and family.
We are looking for a committed and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children’s Services Department in Eastbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Family Help initiative working independently while managing a diverse and challenging caseload. You will be at the heart of safeguarding making a real difference by supporting children, young people, and their families to achieve safe, stable, and positive outcomes.
In this role, you will handle complex cases, apply relevant legislation, and work closely with families, and partner agencies. You will be expected to undertake assessments, planning, and carry out direct work with children and young people while developing trusted, trauma-informed relationships with them and their families.
- Have recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with the professional regulatory body.
- Have successfully completed Assessed and Supported Year in employment if graduated post 2012.
- Have experience of working with children and families as a social worker.
- Can demonstrate knowledge of legal and policy frameworks that inform and mandate social work practice.
