Social Worker, Mental Health

• Join the Adult Social Care Continuing Healthcare Team based in Eastbourne.
• Assess clients in line with statutory duties such as section (9) assessment under the Care Act (2014).
• Collaborate with local partners working in partnership with the NHS Sussex All Age Continuing Care.
• Carry out safeguarding duties to protect and mitigate risks to clients.

• You will need to be a registered social worker and will have obtained a social work qualification, either a C.Q.S.W, DipSW, a Degree or Master's in Social Work.
• Social Workers holding Assessed and Support Year Employment qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (2005), the Mental Health Act (1983), Equality legislation and the Deprivation of Liberty safeguards.
• Experience of court of protection work would be an advantage in this role.

Demonstrates expertise in assessing clients under statutory duties, including the Care Act, while ensuring compliance with the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding responsibilities. Strong collaboration skills with local partners and experience in court of protection work are essential.
