Social Worker:
Aftercare and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Service
City Chambers

Hours:

36 per week
Salary: £40,501 - £47,639
We are looking for enthusiastic social work practitioners to join our Aftercare and UASC Team to work with Looked After and formerly Looked After young people up until their 26th Birthday. We are a multi-disciplinary team undertaking the City of Edinburgh's ongoing statutory responsibility to offer support, advice, and guidance to this cohort of young people, and assisting them to make successful transitions as they leave care and beyond.
Located alongside Aftercare and UASC colleagues in our Edinburgh city centre base, the post holders will be required to assess need and develop effective support plans for young people and contribute to all strands of the services we provide.

- This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.

You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. xcunqrw
