Pro Talent are proud to be working with a respected and forward thinking firm as they seek a Tax Manager to join their expanding tax department.

This is a key role for an experienced tax professional who enjoys advisory work, technical research and contributing to the development of tax planning ideas. The role offers excellent scope to work closely with the Tax Partner and take ownership of varied and challenging projects.

Responsibilities include

• Supporting the Tax Partner with technical research and preparing high quality tax advice for clients

• Handling internal technical tax queries from partners and managers across all areas of taxation

• Contributing to the development of tax planning strategies and preparing technical updates for clients and colleagues

• Overseeing and supporting the preparation of Self Assessment Tax Returns for a portfolio of clients

• Assisting with the preparation of US Federal Tax Returns where required

What we are looking for

• Strong experience in mixed UK taxation, ideally across both private client and corporate clients

• CTA qualification preferred, but candidates with other tax qualifications or relevant experience are welcome

• Experience in tax advisory work is desirable, though training can be provided

• Ability to undertake detailed technical research and manage a varied workload

• A proactive, analytical approach with strong communication skills

• US tax experience would be useful but is not essential

This is a full time role of 38.75 hours per week. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.
