Join the Northeast Center for Youth & Families (NCYF) as a Therapeutic Counselor in our Therapeutic Day Programs for at‑risk youth in Springfield, Westfield, and Easthampton. We are looking for individuals available Monday‑Friday 10:30 am‑6:30 pm.

NCYF has served families and children for nearly 50 years, offering foster care, in‑home therapy, outpatient therapy, treatment residences, and therapeutic day programs. Therapeutic Counselors aid in the development of emotional strengths and life skills for individual youths by co‑leading therapeutic activities, community trips and teaching and modeling age‑appropriate social and living skills. They maintain professional boundaries, apply crisis avoidance and intervention techniques, assess and evaluate situations, guide and redirect youth clients as needed, complete daily logs and required paperwork, and assist with daily program organization such as cooking, shopping, activity preparation and transportation for clients.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid driving license with reliable transportation.
• Availability for some evening hours (program runs until 6:30 pm).
• Approved CORI, DCF and driving background checks.
