Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion, you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting pay will be $15.00 to $17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 9-12 hours.
  • Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role And Responsibilities Will Include
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. You will communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential.
  • Holiday support:
    Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days and extended hours, including on the holiday itself and on weekends.
  • Department Resets:
    When needed, you may assist with installing and relocating Hallmark fixtures, building or resetting card sections, and other remodel assignments that are typically notified two weeks in advance. These tasks may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    As part of Hallmark's field organization, you will support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand continuously, and may need to climb stairs or step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to a Wi‑Fi network and internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on schedule.
