A well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy is looking to appoint a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor to join its growing team based in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the asbestos industry, with full training, industry qualifications, and ongoing support provided.
The role involves working across the Central Belt of Scotland, carrying out asbestos surveys under the guidance of experienced surveyors before progressing to managing your own workload.

Assisting experienced surveyors with Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys
Learning to identify and assess asbestos-containing materials in accordance with HSG
264
Collecting bulk samples and recording accurate site information
Producing asbestos survey reports with full training provided
Travelling across the Central Belt of Scotland to a variety of commercial, industrial, domestic, education, and public sector sites
Ensuring all work complies with HSE guidance and company procedures
About YouConstruction, environmental, or asbestos industry experience preferred
Previous asbestos experience desirable but not essential
Keen to develop a long-term career within the asbestos industry
Good communication and organisational skills
Willingness to travel throughout the Central Belt and occasionally stay away when required
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Professional, reliable, and eager to learn
