Main Grade Teacher Scale, £25,149 – £15,368 per year.
St Andrew’s and St Bride’s High School aims to provide an atmosphere of love, care and understanding where pupils and staff share a Christian concern for one another. The school fosters good discipline and a positive ethos, working in partnership with home and the Church.
Our purpose‑built facility, opened in August 2007, is located close to East Kilbride Village and offers excellent classroom environments, a large games hall, two gymnasiums, and extensive indoor PE facilities. The Headteacher is supported by six Deputy Headteachers, 12 Heads of Department/Principal Teachers of Curriculum, and eight Principal Teachers of Guidance.
As a Catholic, Christian inclusive community, the school provides a rich learning environment for pupils, celebrating achievements and supporting their full potential through high‑quality teaching and a hard‑working ethos.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of the curriculum and contribute to whole‑school initiatives, as appropriate.
- Carry out the range of duties outlined in Annexe B of "A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century".
This post is excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003. It is a Regulated Role under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, requiring completion of a PVG scheme check prior to a formal offer.
All candidates must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTC). Diocesan approval from the Roman Catholic Church is required. Applicants with criminal records may need an Overseas Criminal Records Check, which must be translated into English and includes a statement confirming no pending criminal proceedings.
