A welcoming SEN school in Newbury is recruiting a SEN and Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and trauma-related behaviours. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and support staff to help pupils manage their emotions, engage in learning, and reach their full potential.
This role is ideal for aspiring therapists, social workers, educational psychologists, or anyone with a passion for mental health and child development.

- Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm - Suitable for:
Psychology, Education, Counselling, or Criminology graduates
- Support pupils in regulating behaviour and developing emotional coping strategies
- Deliver individualised support both in lessons and through tailored interventions
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teaching and therapeutic staff to implement support plans
