We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Art to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA).
This fixed‑term, full‑time role lasts 12 months, starting September 2026 and ending August 2027, on the Teachers Main/Upper pay scale.
Key PurposeThe post holder will secure high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in Art, ensuring that all students make strong progress and reach their full potential. They will be accountable to the Curriculum Leader, Senior Leader, and Headteacher.
Key Responsibilities- Promote the academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour of all students.
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, inclusive lessons across Art.
- Contribute to the development of an ambitious Art curriculum.
- Assess, monitor and report on progress, implementing timely interventions.
- Work collaboratively within the Art team to support the school’s vision.
- Reflect on and improve practice through professional development and shared expertise.
- Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement priorities.
- Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external partners.
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent, with subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum developments.
- Good communication skills and ability to plan and develop appropriate learning activities.
- Successful teaching experience in the relevant phase; experience teaching Photography highly desirable.
- Ability to meet the Professional Standards for Teachers appropriate to career stage.
