Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners - Block Booking

Job Title: Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner
Location: East Kilbride
Working Pattern: 4 days per week

Head Medical is delighted to have a block booking opportunity with an established client in the Central belt of Scotland. We are looking for experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners to join our team. The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting waiting list patients with orthopaedic procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety in the operating theatre.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring safe execution of surgical procedures and work as part of a team.

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for orthopaedic surgeries.
• Assist surgeons during procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth workflow.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment with precision and care.
• Adhere to infection control and health & safety protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.

• Current registration with UK Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) or Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC), with no restrictions on practice.
• A minimum of 18 months post graduate experience in orthopaedic scrub roles.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
