As a key member of the IT Management team, you'll set the strategy, lead the operational response to security risks and build the capability needed to protect our business in a regulated healthcare and manufacturing environment.
- Define and lead the Group’s cyber security strategy, managing security risks and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, including ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
- Lead consolidation onto the Microsoft security stack, including Sentinel, Conditional Access and Purview, and the transition away from our existing third-party MDR provider.
- Own security monitoring, incident response and identity and access management, including privileged access and joiner, mover and leaver processes.

- Lead and develop the service desk, endpoint management and security operations teams as the function evolves.
- Report on security posture, residual risk, workplace experience and licensing costs to the Group IT Director, IT Management team and board as appropriate.
- Shape and implement the Group’s IT strategy, advising on emerging threats, Microsoft technology developments and opportunities to improve security and workplace experience.

You will bring:- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001 and NIST CSF, alongside hands-on experience with Microsoft security tools such as Sentinel, Conditional Access, Purview and Intune.
- Experience leading large-scale security or licensing migrations, ideally consolidating onto Microsoft’s security and productivity platform.
- A proven track record in security operations, including threat detection, incident response and post-incident reviews.
- Experience working across multi-site organisations, ideally within regulated healthcare, pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into clear business priorities and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset, with a genuine interest in modern workplace technology and how security and user experience can work together.
- Strategic influence: Play a key role in shaping Group IT strategy and influencing security decisions at the highest level.
- Lead meaningful change: Own our transition to a consolidated Microsoft security and productivity platform.
- Build for the future: Shape our cyber security and modern workplace function, developing the team, standards and capabilities as we grow.
- Make a real impact: Protect a growing healthcare business operating in a critical and regulated industry.
