The Interfolio commercial team works closely with universities and research organisations across Europe, partnering with customers as they move toward more integrated and digital academic and research management environments. The team operates in a collaborative, cross‑functional way, working alongside Solution Engineers, Customer Success Managers, Product, and Services teams to ensure customers receive long‑term value from Interfolio solutions. The culture emphasises partnership, inclusion, and consultative engagement rather than transactional selling.
Aboutthe Role
The Solutions Account Manager – Interfolio is a Europe‑wide role responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of institutional customers while also developing new business within assigned territories. This position focuses on consultative, solution‑based selling in complex academic and public‑sector environments, balancing new customer acquisition with renewals and account expansion. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and regular engagement with senior stakeholders at customer institutions.
Travel across Europe is required to support customer relationships and regional growth.
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle for Interfolio solutions, including new business development, renewals, and account expansion.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with universities and research organisations, acting as a trusted commercial partner.
- Use a consultative, value‑based sales approach to understand customer needs and position Interfolio solutions appropriately.
- Work closely with Solution Engineers and cross‑functional teams to support solution demonstrations, proposals, and complex sales cycles.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting using CRM tools.
- Represent Interfolio at customer meetings, events, and conferences across Europe as required.
- Experience in enterprise SaaS sales or solutions account management, with responsibility for new business and customer retention.
- Demonstrated ability to sell complex, workflow‑based software solutions in structured or regulated environments.
- Strong consultative selling and stakeholder‑management skills, with comfort engaging senior decision‑makers.
- Experience working cross‑functionally in international or matrixed organisations.
- Understanding of subscription‑based SaaS models, including renewals and expansion.
- Ability to work across multiple European markets, with willingness to travel as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience working with higher‑education, research, or public‑sector organisations is highly desirable but not essential.
