Part-Time Store-person

We are looking for a reliable and organised Part-Time Storeperson to join our team at our
East Kilbride yard.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a practical, hands-on background who takes pride in keeping a busy construction yard running smoothly.

The Role

As Store-person, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our yard and stores, ensuring
materials, tools, and equipment are organised, accounted for, and readily available for our teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries of materials and equipment
• Organising and maintaining stock in the yard and store, ensuring good housekeeping at all times
• Issuing materials, tools, and plant to site teams and tracking what goes out and comes back
• Monitoring stock levels and flagging low stock or reorder requirements
• Keeping accurate stock records, whether on paper or using our stock system
• Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles
• Carrying out basic maintenance and checks on yard equipment and tools
• Keeping the yard tidy, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards

• Previous experience in a store-person, yard, or warehouse role, ideally within construction or a related trade
• A joinery background or hands-on construction experience would be highly beneficial, helping you
  understand materials, tools, and site requirements
• IT literate would be beneficial
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Physically capable of lifting and moving materials as required
• A full driving licence would be an advantage
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential — training may be available)
• A reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work

• Contract type: Part-time, 24 hours per week
• Rate of pay: Competitive hourly rate, including benefits
• Location: Dickie & Moore Construction Yard, East Kilbride
