Responsibilities
- Create and manage jobs for production through the ERP system while assessing demand, verifying workflow, securing material, and scheduling completion dates to ensure delivery to internal and external customers.
- Request bids for manufactured parts and issue purchase orders based on cost and delivery.
- Collaborate with Sales Account Executives, suppliers, and delivery personnel to discuss timelines and answer inquiries, including communicating shipping delays.
- Review existing engineering drawings and bills of materials for all parts and assemblies.
- Coordinate with the Material Handler to locate, move, and stage parts on the production floor according to operation sequence, maintaining material flow.
- Work with purchasing to request raw material and outsource subcontracting operations for necessary parts.
- Review jobs for costing upon completion, providing edits to the manufacturing method for future work.
- Provide job costing support to internal team members for new parts.
- Assist the planning team in shifting shop assembly and manufacturing schedules to meet production needs.
- Manage processes within large, assigned projects to ensure continuity and on‑time delivery of all parts.
- Determine the most cost‑effective means to ensure delivery and quality of products.
- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
- Suggest and aid in implementing process improvements, focusing on increased efficiency and customer information.
- Assist in drafting new SOP documents to implement change.
- Report safety hazards and implement new standards as needed.
- 4‑year degree preferred in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, production planning, and job management.
- Mechanical work history and tool knowledge.
- Experience reading and understanding engineered drawings.
- Experience in manufacturing and fast‑paced environments.
- Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP (Epicor) scheduling and material planning.
- Commitment to safety throughout all job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated positive work environment promotion.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
