Assembly Technician Apprentice – JBT Marel

We’re seeking an Assembly Technician Apprentice to support the manufacturing team at JBT Marel.

• Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts and pieces using a variety of hand tools and equipment.
• Complete safety programs within JBT expectations (BBSO’s, Near Misses, etc.) and exceed safety goals.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints for assembling machines to proper specifications.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets standards and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Use in-house mechanical equipment such as forklift, overhead cranes, and hoists.
• Maintain work areas and equipment, tools and machines in a safe, neat and orderly condition.
• Clock in and out of job/rework/project/builds by use of E10.
• Operate bead blast, power wash and paint booths.
• Travel on short notice as part of the apprenticeship program.
• Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts and reassemble machines.
• Set up and adjust machines to equipment specifications.
• Keep training jacket updated daily with on-the-job training details and level signoffs.
• Perform all tasks with required safety equipment and comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
• After completion of the apprenticeship program, team member will be transferred to the Field Service department.

• Great attendance is a requirement.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Lift/carry 50‑75 pounds.
• Work with mathematical concepts.
• Balance a quality level of maintenance while staying on a timeline.
• Work collaboratively within a small team environment.

• You will be fully onsite, with some travel to customer plants.
