Maintenance Technician – Plumbing Service Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong plumbing skills to join our service team. This role is primarily responsible for providing on‑site plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation services to our customers. The ideal candidate is skilled in troubleshooting plumbing issues, working independently in the field, and delivering professional, high‑quality service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance at customer locations, including fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, clearing drains, and repairing water heaters.
- Install and replace plumbing systems and fixtures (sinks, faucets, toilets, piping, valves, etc.).
- Diagnose plumbing problems quickly and present solutions and repair options to customers.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide efficient, professional solutions.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, explaining work performed and answering questions.
- Keep detailed records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle.
- Follow all company safety policies and comply with plumbing codes and regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school a plus.
- Experience in plumbing service work (residential or commercial) is preferred but not required — training available for the right candidate.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to work independently in the field.
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and best practices.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Plumbing license preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces when needed.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to explain repair options and costs to customers clearly.
- Self‑motivated with good time‑management skills.
- Safety‑minded and detail‑oriented.
