An established professional services firm is looking to appoint a Accounts Semi-Senior to join its growing accounts and audit team. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, values client relationships, and is keen to continue developing their technical and commercial skills while working towards ACA or ACCA qualification.
The Role You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of accounts and audit work, supporting senior team members while gradually increasing your level of responsibility. The position offers exposure to a broad range of clients and the opportunity to mentor trainees as you progress. Key responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day audit and accounts preparation work for assigned clients Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and third parties Preparing draft statutory accounts to a high standard for review Completing smaller assignments independently and contributing to larger engagements Monitoring budgets and time, with an awareness of profitability and billing Supervising and coaching junior team members and trainees Supporting seniors and business advisors with planning, delivery, and completion of assignments Keeping up to date with technical accounting and regulatory developments Ensuring work is delivered in line with internal procedures and quality standards Communication & Teamwork Providing regular progress updates to supervisors and senior colleagues Handling client and internal correspondence professionally and promptly Drafting clear, well-structured emails and letters for client communication Acting as a link between teams to ensure work is completed efficiently About You Part-qualified (ACA or ACCA), with a commitment to completing exams
