The Payroll Senior/ Supervisor will play a vital part in managing end-to-end payroll processing, working with a variety of SME clients, and ensuring compliance with latest payroll legislation. You will have the chance to develop your leadership skills within a supportive environment, contributing to the ongoing success of the team.
What will the role involve?- Managing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a diverse client portfolio using Moneysoft Payroll Manager, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaising with clients to handle payroll queries, providing expert guidance on payroll processes, and resolving issues proactively.
- Administering RTI submissions, CIS returns, and statutory payments such as SMP, SSP, redundancy, and NIC calculations.
- Keeping up-to-date with UK payroll legislation to ensure best practice and compliance.
- Supporting team members, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to continuous improvement within the payroll function.
- Demonstrates extensive payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy or payroll bureau environment.
- Possesses strong knowledge of PAYE/NIC, statutory payments, and pension schemes, including Auto Enrolment.
- Has good communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and HMRC.
- Shows initiative in resolving payroll issues and maintaining compliance with legislative updates.
- Is organised, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a small team in a fast-paced environment.
