From £50,000 per annum Full Time - 9am to 5.30pm We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager / Qualified Accountant for one of our clients for a varied role covering accounts preparation, tax and day-to-day accounting support. This opportunity would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with small and medium-sized businesses, delivering accurate work and providing clear, practical advice.
Experience working with SMEs is essential. Key responsibilities Preparing annual accounts for SME businesses. Preparing corporation tax computations and returns. Completing personal tax returns. Managing company secretarial duties and statutory filings. Preparing and reviewing VAT returns. Overseeing bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records. Using Xero and Quick Books Online to support efficient accounting processes. Liaising with clients to resolve queries and meet reporting deadlines.
About you A qualified accountant with a recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACA or ACCA. Essential experience working with SMEs and a sound understanding of their accounting needs. Strong technical knowledge across annual accounts, corporation tax and personal tax. Experience in VAT, bookkeeping and company secretarial work. Confident using Xero and Quick Books Online . Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
