Modern Foreign Languages Tutor The Role

We're looking for Modern Foreign Languages Tutors to support children and young people across Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Winchester, and the surrounding areas through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities
, you'll support learners who require alternative educational provision, helping them develop their language skills, improve confidence, and make progress towards their individual learning goals.

Many students benefit from a flexible, tailored approach to learning, making this a rewarding opportunity for tutors who enjoy adapting their teaching style and building positive relationships with learners.

  • Location: Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Winchester & Surrounding Areas
  • Subject: Modern Foreign Languages
  • Start Date: September
  • Hours: Flexible
  • Rate: 25- 30 per hour
  • Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting
    , including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
  • Strong knowledge of one or more Modern Foreign Languages
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, adaptable, and organised approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally
Who You'll Support

You'll work with children and young people of varying ages who may require additional support due to:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • ADHD
  • Anxiety and school avoidance
  • EHCPs and other additional learning needs

The role focuses on creating engaging learning experiences while helping students build confidence and achieve meaningful progress.
