SEND Learning Support Assistant (Primary & Secondary)
Learning Support Assistant - SEND Schools
Southampton
£14.30 per hour
Teaching Personnel are recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in a range of primary and secondary schools across Southampton that support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
These schools cater for children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, communication needs and learning difficulties.
Responsibilities- Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
- Helping students access the curriculum
- Supporting emotional regulation and social development
- Working alongside teachers and SEND professionals
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- This could include education, youth work, care work, medical settings, Camp America, sports coaching or similar roles
- Availability at least 4 days per week
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
- Competitive £14.30 per hour
- Work across supportive schools in Southampton
- Opportunities in both primary and secondary SEND settings
- Good transport links to schools
