Ready to take senior technical responsibility within a respected Fareham consultancy? This Principal Technician opportunity offers hands‑on influence, project variety and long‑term progression.

A well‑established civil and structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Technician to strengthen its Fareham office. As a Principal Technician, you will support highways, drainage and external works packages across residential, commercial and multi‑phase developments.

This Principal Technician role combines high‑level drawing production with technical checking, CAD standards management and team support.

• Produce detailed drawings for highways and drainage schemes
• Draft construction details from engineer input
• Manage CAD standards and drawing registers
• Check team drawings for accuracy and compliance
• Support civil engineers with technical outputs
• Maintain templates and technical documentation

• Six or more years' technician experience
• Strong AutoCAD skills with Site3D, Civil 3D or PDS
• Experience supporting highways and drainage projects
• Exposure to large or phased development schemes
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

This Principal Technician position offers a salary of £40,000 - £50,000, structured progression and a stable Hampshire base within a technically respected consultancy.
